THE FLESHOGRAPH:
A fleshograph is a painting created by impressing a painted body part- a hand, a butt, a breast, etc., onto a canvas to make a painting. Fine artist Gregory Scaff coined the word "fleshograph" in 2005 to describe his then unnamed artistic process.
Every child and many artists have expressed their creativity by way of fleshography; they are found as far back as Paleolithic cave paintings, at the very origin of Modern humans.
French artist Yves Klein worked in fleshographs in the 1950's. He dubbed them "Anthropometries"; "Klein experimented with various methods of applying the paint. This would lead to a number of works which Klein made using naked female models covered in blue paint and dragged across or laid upon canvases to make the image, using the models as "living brushes". This type of work he called "Anthropometry." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yves_Klein
A Seattle artist anonymously called "Goddess4you" c. 2000 sold similar body impressions online- paintings impressed from her genitals and breasts in primary colors.
Adult film star, sex educator, writer, and performance artist Annie Sprinkle also makes fleshographs which she calls "tit prints", sold on her website; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annie_Sprinkle
Gregory Scaff is the artist commonly associated today with fleshography today. Gregory most famously made a popular series of fleshographs which sold at nightclubs, through his home gallery, his site http://www.succubusarts.com/fleshographs and through Boston's Fetish Fair http://www.fetishfairfleamarket.com/ His fleshograph paintings have also been displayed in MOCA Gallery, Washington D.C.
